Miss Minnesota 2010 is Kathryn Knuttila!

Miss Minnesota 2010, Kathryn Knuttila, grew up in Detroit Lakes,
Minnesota and is a graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. She was
awarded first place in
the State of Minnesota National Music Teachers Association Student
Composition Competition. Kathryn’s platform is
Inspiring America: Crowning the Good in America. She has been featured on the local TV show “Inspiring People;” and is the youngest student competitor/member of the Minnesota
Music Teachers Association.
Kathryn established her own piano studio at age 14, and she has been the
piano and organ accompanist at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 10
years. Kathryn in no stranger to pageants—she now shares the Miss
Minnesota title with her sister Kari Knuttila Heisler who was Miss
Minnesota 2001! Kathryn is the daughter of Steven and JoAnne Knuttila
and has 2 sisters, Kim Knuttila and Kari Knuttila Heisler, and two
adorable nephews, Silas and Gideon.
Kathryn attends McNally Smith College in St. Paul, where she is a junior
working to obtain a degree in piano performance and classical
composition. Her career goal is to become a successful composer, and
continue serving as a piano instructor.
